 Are you unsatisfied with your Scavenger Hunt grade? Here's 2 ways you can make it up...
1) Watch through your Scavenger Hunt video, identify 3 video clips that need improvements. For each clip that needs improvement answer the following questions in 20-30 words: a) how could this clip be improved overall? b) what techniques could have helped make this clip fit the requirements for the assignment? *Please specify which clip you're talking about by stating the shot type and describing the actions. By completing this make up assignment you're eligible to raise your grade up by 1 letter grade. 2) You and/or your group can make up portions of your video by re-editing the clips or re-shooting the clips that need to be fixed and then resubmitting the whole video through the media cloud share. Only those that actively participate will be eligible to bring up their grade. This can only be done Monday, Tuesday, and Friday after school between 2:15-5:15 PM. By completing this make up assignment you're eligible to raise your grade up by as many letter grades/points as you redo. All make up assignments are due by October 2nd, 2015.

 This year I tried a new system for the Media Club ID's. It saved some time making them but overall it just wasn't worth it. The quality came out pretty junky, time to look into other affordable options!
Media Club Members: 1) IDs are to be used for OFFICIAL Media Club business only. Failure to do so will result in probation and/or dismissal from the Media Club. 2) If you leave Media Club or are dismissed you must return you Media Club ID. 3) There are no Media Club ID replacements at the moment.

When they say "professions run in the family," the saying holds true for my family and I. My mother, my aunty, and my grandmother were all teachers before me and I didn't ever think I'd be the one to take up the mantle. I've been teaching since 2008 and started at the age of 23 years old.
I'm a National Board Certified teacher with a Bachelor's in Secondary Education: Social Studies. Additionally, I have served in various roles ranging from an HSTA PD Trainer and Consultant, AVID Site Team Member, Club Advisory, Volleyball Coach, Event Organizer, and Chair for the CxK Media Cohort. Basic Teaching PhilosophyThere are constantly occurring learning opportunities. As a teacher, it is my duty to not only help students see these opportunities at face value, but to help them profit from these experiences.
I believe that learning is growing and that growing in the right direction is an important aspect of being successful. I can help the imperfect, I can hardly help those who are perfect. Although academics is an important part of a child's life, I understand that a child's life is even more important than school as an institution. Homework, tests, grades, and due dates pale in comparison to preparing a child for their future. I am but one person amongst a community of people that will come into a child's life, whether my role is small or large, my actions have lasting implications. I will always strive to make a difference, to help student's grow in the right direction, to develop their passions, and to prepare them for the struggles ahead.
