Video Production - Mr. Toyota
Video Production has always been a part of Ewa Makai Middle School in some form since it first opened it's doors in 2010. Beginning first as an after school class with a $100 budget, the program would soon grow large enough that it eventually would provide the basis for the whole Ewa Makai Media program.
The class has steadily grown due in part to the wealth of resources and support provided by external programs and contributing media teachers/programs such as the Hawaii Creative Media Team, Searider Productions, Hiki No, Olelo, the 21st Century Grant, and the Uplink program. Mr. Toyota himself is a product of Mene Mac, the Moanalua High School video production program.
The final project of this class is to create a Public Service Announcement that communicates the group's viewpoint on a global issue. Groups are encouraged to find a creative and original approach to communicating their message to their audience.
