Using Numbers to Drive our Videos

The following statistics are representative of the # of plays for the first 4 episodes of TigerTV (measured from 8/15/17 to 12/15/17). We will use this data to draw some conclusions as to improve TigerTV

Some of the questions to consider based on the data presented:

1. What is the difference between a play and a finish?
   1. ​Which metric (play or finish) is more important in measuring success?
2. On average how many plays per finish do we receive?
   1. ​Which video has the worst play:finish ratio?
3. Why does Ep202 have more plays than Ep201?
4. Ep201 has 86 finishes, almost every other TigerTV episode after that has about half the amount of views.
   1. What does this imply about the first episode of the school year?
   2. What does this imply about every episode after the 1st?
   3. In terms of "finishes" what trend is evident as episodes progress?
5. ​How can we drive up more plays?
6. How can we drive up more finishes?​​​

Observations from Crazy 8's News Magazine

This is a portion of what I observed by shadowing the Crazy 8's group "News Magazine" for the 2017 STN Competition in Anaheim California. The group consisted of 6 members; 2 were 8th graders with 2+ years of experience, 4 were 7th graders (3 of which are in the Advanced Media Class with experience producing TigerTV). I think this could be a great learning tool in the future to help highlight what to expect from a Crazy 8's competition. For each numbered observation, please label it one or more of the following labels:
